Cyprus opens .cy top-level domain name, which can be registered by individuals regardless of country

According to records, Cyprus has never opened the .cy suffix. It usually uses the second-level and third-level suffixes of the type .com.cy .name.cy

According to the latest official policy documents, any individual, organization or company from around the world can register a .CY domain name, but they need to provide proof of identity (ID card, passport, business license, etc.)

The grammatical rules require at least three characters. For example, e.cy lu.cy is not allowed. After the registration is submitted, it needs to be reviewed. When someone submits a domain name registration, but it has not passed the review and payment successfully, it will always show that it can be registered.

Once the registration authority approves the domain, it will send you an email to notify you to pay. Only when the payment is successful, the domain name is considered registered successfully, and the official whois can be checked.

It should be noted that .CY domain names are currently not allowed to be transferred, which means that the holder information cannot be changed, but other contact information in it can be modified online
