Installing the Simplified Chinese Language Pack on Windows Server 2008

Microsoft released Windows Server 2008. All versions do not have a simplified Chinese version, and all use language packs. Therefore, users who need a Chinese environment need to first install the original English version of 2008, and then download and install the simplified Chinese language pack.

The language packs are divided into 32-bit and 64-bit versions, corresponding to 32-bit and 64-bit versions of 2008 respectively, and cannot be mixed. Each language package is a .cab file, that is, a Simplified Chinese .cab file is required in the end. The language pack .cab files are organized into groups of .img image download files.

The .img image download file needs to be opened with WinRAR to extract the .cab file.

Then go to Start Menu>Control Panel.

– If you are using Category view, in the Clock, Language and Region area, click Change Display Language

– If you are using Traditional View, double-click Regional and Language Options, and then click the Keyboards and Languages ​​tab.

Click the Install/uninstall languages ​​button.

Click the big Install Languages ​​button

Locate the lp.cab file in the unzipped zh-cn folder
