A python script to check the memory status of OpenVZ VPS. The raw data is taken from the /proc/user_beancounters file. The script does a simple data analysis, extraction and visualization. Kernel Mem Info: The size of kernel memory used. It cannot be swapped and is mainly used to store process data. Mem already allocated Info: the allocated memory size. The limit is the burst memory size. Ram actually used: The actual amount of physical memory used. Mem (Ram + swap) used: Occupied physical memory and swap size. If the actual occupied physical memory == the occupied physical memory and swap size, then congratulations, all the programs running in your vps are in memory and the host is not seriously oversold. If the actual occupied physical memory < occupied physical memory and swap size, the situation is not good. The host has started to occupy swap and the overselling is serious. Strange, failed on both ds and crissic. |
